Objectives Of Campaign And Metrics

Objectives The Golf Limerick video was developed to: • Position Limerick as Ireland's leading emerging golf destination. • Capitalise on international attention generated by the Ryder Cup. • Promote Limerick's seven golf courses under a single destination brand. • Drive tourism visits, visitor spend, and overnight stays. • Showcase the broader tourism offering of Limerick beyond golf. • Create a versatile promotional asset for digital, social media, trade, tourism, and event marketing activity. The ‘Limerick is Ready for Golf’ video has become the cornerstone visual asset for the Golf Limerick initiative, supporting the launch of the programme and forming the basis of ongoing destination marketing activity. The video has been distributed across council channels, tourism promotion networks, golf-related audiences, and industry stakeholders, helping to establish a distinctive identity for Golf Limerick and raising awareness of the county's golfing and tourism offer. Our Golf Limerick Video launched on the 26th of May as part of a five-week social media campaign. The video featured mainly on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. https://vimeo.com/1194691882?fl=plGolf Limerick, was created by Limerick City and County Council, to promote Limerick's golf offering, and to establish Limerick as one of Ireland's premier golfing destinations while showcasing the wider visitor experience available across the county and to maximise the long-term economic and tourism benefits of Limerick hosting the Ryder Cup 2027.
The ‘Limerick is Ready for Golf’ promotional video was developed with Keith Lawler & Co., as the flagship creative asset for this new destination marketing initiative.
More than a golf advertisement, the video tells the story of a place. It encourages audiences to dust off the clubs and proudly shouts that golf is taking over the county. Remember when you were a kid and Wimbledon was on? Everywhere you looked people were playing tennis. When Stephen Roche won the Tour De France, we all got bikes. When Limerick wins the All-Ireland, hurling sweeps us all up. That’s what happens when something special touches a culture; it consumes us!
Our Limerick is Ready for Golf video captures how golf fever is sweeping across the county, told through a distinctly Limerick perspective. The video combines cinematic golf footage with compelling destination imagery, creating a powerful narrative that appeals to both dedicated golfers and wider leisure travellers. Dedicated social cuts maximised reach and engagement.
