Tell Us More About Them

Well… apparently I’m back for another one. 😂
I’ve previously won three Sockie Awards for Clever Little Handies, so I was delighted to see this category and have the excuse to enter again!
A lot has changed since those wins. Clever Little Handies has grown from a baby-sign class business into a wider early-years brand, with my own children’s books, stockists across Ireland, library and community partnerships and thousands of families reached.
My social media has grown with the business. I use it to promote classes and books, but also to share the real story behind them, from bookshop visits and behind-the-scenes moments to spontaneous videos, creative experiments and the occasional update from wherever I happen to be.
I think the reason it works is because it feels personal. There’s no social media team behind Clever Little Handies. It’s me, talking to people like actual people and trying to make them laugh, help them or feel part of the journey.
I’ve learned to combine organic, personality-led content with targeted promotion when it makes sense, while keeping the overall presence authentic.
So, after three previous Sockies, I’m still here, still learning and still having fun with it.
And if there happens to be room for one more trophy on the shelf… I certainly wouldn’t complain. 🏆
